Alluvial Brewing Announces Barrel-Aged Aurox Release

After a couple weeks of teasing us via social media the date for the latest Alluvial Brewing Aurox Russian Imperial Stout variants is set.

Friday, November 17th at 4pm doors open for a chance at one each of these two variants. This release includes the same $30 per bottle price tag (750 ml) as last winter's releases. Each bottle purchase of Barrel-aged Aurox Imperial Stout with Ugandan Vanilla Bean or BA Aurox with Pure Liquid Cacao and Coconut comes with a ticket for a four ounce pour.

This is a return for both of these beers (although I couldn't verify if it's a different vanilla bean). The Vanilla was a 2016 release last December and Pure Liquid Cacao and Coconut was part of the second release in February. The previous releases were aged in first-run Buffalo Trace barrels. Both beers clock in above 4.6 on Untappd.

The long awaited release may also not be it for the Gilbert, Iowa, brewery this year. A little Twitter conversation could mean another BA stout before the New Year. Will barrel-aged Lahar Russian Imperial Stout make its debut? We will see and if for whatever insane reason chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bourbon and coconuts isn't your jam, a probably insane DIPA is coming too.
