Iowa Beer Buzz | Jesus on a Forklift, Iowa Brew Co BA Wee Heavy

The weather is turning cold in Iowa but the barrel-aged bottle releases are heating up. We now know Alluvial will release Aurox variants this Friday. Pulpit Rock $ticker $hock is next month. Other Iowa breweries are announcing bourbon warmed beers coming too.

IOWA BREWING COMPANY ANNOUNCES WEE HEAVY RELEASE
Opening at 11 am Black Friday (November 24th) Iowa Brewing Company will release their Moray, a barrel-aged wee heavy ale. Moray spent 10 months in Cedar Ridge barrels. 22 ounce bombers will cost $15 each, no limit.

JESUS ON A FORKLIFT IS BACK
Exile Brewing in Des Moines will have a draft only version of Jesus on a Forklift back at their downtown taproom. Exile describes Jesus as their rye Imperial Stout soaked 12 months in Cedar Ridge barrels. Release date is December 14th.

CONFLUENCE'S DES MOINES SAISON IS BACK
Just in time for the Holidays, Confluence Brewing in Des Moines has their Holiday Saison available in 750 ml bottles. Their saison includes 1000 pounds of cranberries and spruce tips to sip next to the Christmas tree. Last year's version clocked in at 7.1% ABV and has a decent 3.84 Untappd rating by 379 users. They also have their Copperage series and Weather Beacon Red making the rounds today.

TWISTED VINE TALLBOYS?
Twisted Vine Brewing, of West Des Moines, posted a pic from Midwest Canning LLC on their Facebook account today. They followed that post with another teasing cans coming soon. If they are truly canning today expect them on shelves but the weekend, maybe.

FIRE, SKULLS AND MONEY
Based on social media pics TG's Citra, Mosiac, Galaxy and Nelson hopped IPA is everywhere. And it looks like there's plenty to go around in both Des Moines and Iowa City.

OUTSIDE IOWA
Mikerphone announced Imperial Bean Spirit, Double Maple Imperial Bean Spirit and a Cranberry Berliner Weiss will release Thanksgiving Eve at the brewery. Also, Half Acre has details about their Big Hugs release package. Still in Chicago, More Brewing cleaned up at FOBAB. Good luck getting in that brewery and also good luck if you didn't get a Side Project Barrel Time ticket.
