Okoboji's West O Beer Announces Barrel #2 Release

Okoboji's West O Beer may be best know for taking home a Gold twice at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver. Their Coco Chocolate Stout put the micro brewer on the Iowa brewing map on many Iowa beer shelves. November 18th, they'll release a barrel-aged version of the very popular award winning stout. Coco Barrel #2.

According to the West O Facebook Page, 500 bottles are ready for the public at noon on November 18th. Limit is set at three per person for the 750 ml bottles (no price info yet). The description is simply Coco Stout aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla beans.

Coco #1, a 2016 release, included cherries. Per Untappd, perhaps disappointing to some, the ABV for the 2016 version lists at 7.5%. The base Coco Stout clocks in at 6 so that's not overly surprising. Barrel type and time in barrel isn't listed.
