The Iowa Beer Blog IPA/PA Championship Match Is All Set

The Fab Four match-ups were everything as advertised. Both came down to the final minutes yesterday and were decided by less than six votes.

In the battle of Toppling Goliath beers, Fire, Skulls and Money trailed most of the week but got the votes when it mattered most. FSM took a late lead and went on to defeat Double Dry-Hopped Pseudo Sue 102-98. Last year, I called DDH Sue the best yellow beer in Iowa and it looks like we have a new king.

That's if TG can get by Franklin Street's Drugstore Cowboy. In the most exciting match-up of the entire tournament, Drugstore broke a 199-199 tie with Pulpit Rock's Saftig with 30 minutes to go to win it 208-202.

That sets the table for Toppling Goliath's Fire, Skulls and Money vs. Franklin Street's Drugstore Cowboy. Voting will begin tomorrow morning and continue through Saturday, March 31st at noon.

Let's give a hand to a great show and a ton of great Iowa beers. Here's the updated bracket:
