Two Iowa Breweries Will Pour at Mikerphone's Smells Like a Beerfest in Chicago

Mikerphone Brewing, of Elk Grove, Illinois, has changed the name of their annual beer event from Pale Pauper Day to Smells Like a Beerfest. The former was a play on Three Floyd's Dark Lord Day in Indiana and held the same day as that event. The latter is a celebration that includes the release of Barrel-Aged Imperial Smells Like Bean Spirit and includes one helluva lineup.

The event is somewhat of a who's-who in craft beer and two Iowa breweries will be pouring. Barn Town Brewing and Pulpit Rock will both be at this April 28th event. The details for ticket purchase will post sometime this week and expect it to be a hot ticket.

Barn Town did pour at last year's Pale Pauper event and Pulpit Rock and Mikerphone recently combined for a Fruit Loop IPA collab. It's pretty cool to see two of Iowa's hottest breweries rubbing shoulders with J. Wakefield, Great Notion, Narrow Gauge and Weldwerks. Among others.

Check Mikerphone dot com for more details and the brewery's social media spaces for ticket/beer list info.
