The Latest in Iowa Haze | November 2018 Edition

Although many beer drinkers have turned to the dark side of bourbon laced and spruce tip infused beverages, the juice is still loose. None with Tequila added, I don't think. The cloudy, heavy fruit-forward slush can too be considered a holiday drink and there's some new ones coming down the chimney.

Not a new beer, but new in bottles to-go, Barn Town will release Appaloosa on December 8th at their taproom. The beer was originally released on tap in April and we can assume 22 ounce bombers again. BT just released Looky Looky, a Citra NE DIPA in bottles last week and as of Sunday, still had some available.

Confluence will have a new NE Style hazy Double IPA available December 14th. This beer was teased as Batch 1000 and the limited beer details were taken off the image of the can. For hops, pricing, time, etc., we'll have to stay tuned to Confluence's social media.

515 Brewing has a new NE Style beer ready for release November 30th at their taproom. Greenbelt IPA is listed at 7.9% ABV and described by the brewery as:

A gloriously hazy New England Style IPA that smells and tastes of fresh cut citrus fruit, especially mangoes. Brewed with citra, simcoe, and mosaic hops. Dry-hopped with mosaic and galaxy hops.

The Boing is back in town. Lark's just getting settled into their new digs and they have some freshie Boing and available in 4-packs to-go. Yay on the beer, double yay on the packaging.

Finally, Brightside Aleworks got together with another Iowa brewery for the second time this month to collab on a brew. First it was Peach Gobbler Fruit Beer with Dimensional, now they've teamed with Pulpit Rock to make All Hops Considered. It's described as a NEIPA with Galaxy, el Dorado and Wakatu hops in the mix.  All Hops Considered will release at the Brightside taproom in Altoona at 4:00 PM November 29th.
