Boone Valley Brewing Sets the Date for 2018 Ol' Griz Barleywine Bottle Release

As what's become tradition, Boone Valley Brewing will have Ol' Griz ready and available just in time for Christmas. The release date for Ol' Griz Barleywine is set for Saturday, December 8th, from 1 pm -10 pm. There's no mentions of limits on the BV Facebook page, or price, but the 750 ml bottles have been about $25 each in the past.

The 2018 version will be on tap during the day along with vintages of the Barelywine. There's also a limited quantity of vintages of Ol' Griz Barleywine bottles for sale too.

Boone Valley describes Ol' Griz as:

"a barleywine style that possesses a think, full body with complete estery aromas and rich caramel flavors. Over time, it will develop slightly sweet cherry flavors that will add to the complexity.

Versions of Ol' Griz date back to 2013 on Untappd and expect at least a chance to taste a few years of the beer if you attend the release party. You can see how the beer develops over each year which is always cool. Check out Boone Valley's Facebook Page for additional details.
